Past Masters who do not hold Grand or Provincial rank have been admitted as members of Latham Lodge 2229 for the first time.
Assistant Provincial Grand Master Terry Hudson, who is WM of Lathom Lodge, described the meeting in Leyland as one of “great significance” when he welcome the two Past Masters as members of the Lodge.
At the social board Provincial Grand Master Peter Hosker referred to the change of policy during his response to the toast to his health. He said that admitting Past Masters was “the first step in the right direction” for the Lodge. He said the move should see the Lodge go “from strength to strength” and hopes there will be many joining members.
The first two Past Masters to join were Stephen Thomas Bousfield and David William Everett who are both members of Eureka Lodge No 3763.
